Making Waves for a Better Future
Ride the Tide is more than a challenge, it is a movement born from resilience, community, and purpose. It represents the power of human endurance, the strength of collective action, and the unwavering belief that one person can create ripples of change that extend far beyond the shoreline.
In September 2025, I will attempt the first-ever human-powered hydro bike crossing of Long Island Sound, pedaling from the shores of Connecticut to the shores of Long Island. This journey is the first step in a larger mission: to inspire others, protect our environment, and support those in need.
Riding for a Cause: Kids Fighting Cancer
We proudly supports the Great Cycle Challenge, raising funds for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
In the month of September, every mile logged and every wave crossed helps fight families of children fighting cancer.
We ride with purpose for those who can’t.
Environmental Stewardship
We are advocates for clean water, coastal preservation, and pollution reduction in the Long Island Sound.
We want to educate the public on the connection between active transportation and environmental health
Personal Transformation
Ride the Tide is also a personal journey of redemption, resilience, and renewal.
Founder Phil Chiaia’s transformation from trauma to trailblazing, proves that your past doesn't define your potential.
Through motion, community, and vision, we turn the tide in our own lives and inspire others to do the same.
